It's a long, hallowed tradition. The ladies of the MMHS class of 1957 have breakfast and a side of gab over the 4th of July celebration. It will be July 3, 8:30 a.m., at the Dogwood Inn (old 8 mi. on Rt. 64). However, I've heard that there will be a break with tradition, and the men of the class are now included in the Ladies Breakfast. Don't take my word for it--just show up and check it out.

Breakfasts started in 1958 in my mom's dining room. I asked whomever was going to in town as well as the lcoals and get up early and run to Wally's Bakery for frest breakfast rolls, make coffee and orange juice. Quickly we outgrew the small dining room and moved to local coffee shops. Nancy G. has us a few times by the Rock River when she and Moe ran the bait shop, that was nice...and later White Pines Lodge was a popular spot to meet. The tradition lives on.With the changing times, it is nice to see something survive this long...Good for us!-Lynne
